+The "Decline Rates by Reason" Report allows you to view the exact percentage of transactions affected by declines and sorts the list by the reason for which the transaction was declined.

+You are able to view any date range you like by choosing from the drop down menu of preset selections on the top right of the page

 +
+or by choosing your own dates by first clicking on the small calendar icon to the right of the start date and selecting the start date for your report using the pop-up calendar, then repeating the process to select an end date for the report. You can also use the drop down menus to the right of the start and end date fields to select start and end times and further refine your report.

+The resulting report will display all declines as a percentage of overall transaction during the selected time period. The table displays the following columns:
 +
 +^Column     ^Description     ^
+|Reason     |The "Reason" column lists the total number of transactions approved, as well as declines divided into two categories: "Issuer/Platform Declines" which includes declines for reasons relating to the customer's card, bank, or processing platform, and "Gateway/Other Declines" which includes declines for reasons relating to the gateway, invalid information input (such as expiration date, amount charged, and incorrect credit card number), and other miscellaneous declines. The "Reason" column also lists subcategories for both decline classifications.   |
+|Non-Recurring     |The "Non-Recurring" column lists a corresponding number and percentage of total transactions of declines that occur only once.|
+|Recurring     |The "Recurring" column lists a corresponding number and percentage of total transactions of declines that occur more than once.|
+|Total     |The "Total" column lists a combined count and percentage of total transactions of recurring and non-recurring declines.|
+|Unique     |The "Unique" column lists only the number of unique reasons for decline. For example, if a single card is run and declined three times, it will show up as three declines under "Non-Recurring", but only once in the "Unique" column.|
